Wearing these clothes showed that Beckett was noble and elegant.
With black boots and a white wig, he looks serious and authoritative.
In addition, he also likes to wear a navy three-cornered hat, and occasionally wears a shawl coat or a cape outdoors, especially in rainy days.
At this point, a huge, unfinished map of the world occupies an entire wall of the office.
A cartographer draws on a map the extent of the empire on which the sun never sets in the world, marking the growing power of the East India Company.
Beckett pointed to the handcuffs on Will's wrist and said, "Are you going to release Elizabeth too?"
"That's entirely up to you," replied Beckett, and quickly stated his answer, "That's entirely up to you."
Beckett fanned the fire in the room's fireplace with his cane.
"We want you to act as our agent to do business with our mutual friend, Captain Sparrow."
"We just know each other, not friends." Will said, "How do you know him?"
"We had a deal," Beckett said, showing the letter P branded on the end of his fiery cane.
The same P is branded on Jack's arm: "We all left our marks on each other."
"Then what mark did he leave on you?" Will asked, but Beckett didn't answer.
Instead, he said: "After your efforts, Sparrow was released and I want you to go to him and get back one of his properties."
"Reclaim it," Will said sarcastically, "with a sword?"
Beckett smiled and suggested slyly, "Haggle for the common good and a fair price."
He removed from the table several large stacks of papers, all signed by the King of England.
"A pardon," Beckett explained. "You can make an offer equivalent to a full pardon. Jack will be set free, a privateer in England's employment."
Will looked at the documents and shook his head. He knew the amnesty would entitle him to Jack's property, but he still felt something was wrong.
"For some reason, I doubt Jack would equate employment with freedom," he noted.

Will looked at the documents and shook his head. He knew the amnesty would entitle him to Jack's property, but he still felt something was wrong.
"For some reason, I doubt Jack would equate employment with freedom," he noted.
"Jack Sparrow is a checkmate," growled Beckett.
He pointed to the map on the wall: "This world is shrinking, and the blank edges on this map will also be filled. Jack will have to find a foothold in the New World, or he will perish."
"And you too," Beckett continued, making his point.
"You and your fiancée are about to go to the gallows. Of course, this is enough motivation for you to persuade Captain Sparrow to accept us, and for you, Mr. Turner, to accept my proposal."
Will mulls over his suggestion: "So you want Jack and the Black Pearl?"
Beckett seemed taken aback. "The Black Pearl? No, Mr. Turner, we're talking about a much smaller but far more valuable thing."
"It's something Sparrow always carries with him. A compass."
Beckett noticed a look of understanding on Will's face.
"Ah, you know this thing." Beckett squeezed a few words through his teeth, and continued, "Bring the compass back, otherwise there will be no deal!"
Will angrily walked out of Beckett's office, walked through the heavy prison doors of the Royal Harbor, squeezed past the guards in red, walked into the stone corridor, and walked towards Elizabeth's cell.
Governor Swann followed suit.
"At this moment!" cried the guard. "You cannot be here, Mr. Swann!"
"Governor Swann," he corrected the guard. "I'm not wearing this wig to keep my head warm, you should know."
Swann looked directly into the guard's face. "Is your name Carruthers? Have fun, Mr. Carruthers?"
Now, the guard's tone changed immediately. "Yes, sir, especially when relatives are visiting."
"Very good." Swan said and nodded towards the gate, and the guard immediately backed out.
As the governor approached the dank cell, he heard Elizabeth say to Will, "Jack's compass? Why would Beckett want that?"
Elizabeth behind the iron railing is still wearing her wedding dress.
"Is that important?" Will asked: "I must find Jack and persuade him to return to Port Royal. In exchange, the charges against us will be dropped."
Despite the railing between them, Will kept as close to Elizabeth as he could, and whispered remorsefully:
"And didn't Jack lose that thing? That might be tricky."
Elizabeth smiled: "I believe in you!"
Elizabeth's confidence touched Will's heart, and he suddenly felt omnipotent.
"Tortuga, I'll start from there until I find him, and then I'll come back here and marry you."
"The media is getting married?" Elizabeth asked.
"With all my heart." Will solemnly promised.
......
Will began his search immediately.
If he had to search every island in the Caribbean to find Jack, he'd do it - he'd have to find Jack!
Will marched all the way to Tortuga, not missing any port along the way.
He walked onto a pier and asked the first person he saw for Jack's whereabouts.
"Captain Jack Sparrow?" replied the weather-beaten sailor. "He still owes me four guineas? I hear he's dead."
On another island, Will walked down a cobbled path into a candlelit tavern.
The shopkeeper, a stocky, square-faced man, told Will:
"He went off to Madagascar with a Creole woman."
