Chapter 276 Dragon Tattoo!Captain Sao Feng!
"Your mother always knew you threw the linen down the well."
The guard jumped back in fright, and he looked at the old woman in horror.
"How do you know?" he demanded.
She grinned, showing her blackened teeth.
"These canaries," she whispered.
The two guards stepped back. Although they didn't understand what martial arts were at work, they didn't want to have anything to do with it.
The monkey named "Jack" picked up the organ and shook the handle again.
The music was loud, and the pirates sawed again below.
Not far away, Tai Huang was leading Barbossa and Elizabeth to a beer bathhouse.
The bathhouse is Xiao Feng's hiding place, and it is heavily guarded everywhere.
Elizabeth looked around, her nerves on high alert.
Anyone who walked past them was probably a pirate, or an employee of the East India Trading Company, or worse.
She tugged at Barbossa's sleeve and whispered, "Have we heard from Will?"
Barbosa shook his head: "That kid will take care of himself."
He pointed out: "You should be more introverted than usual in front of Sao Feng." Barbosa said with a wink.
"Is he that scary?" Elizabeth asked Barbossa.
"He is like me," replied Barbossa, "but without my gift of kindness and sense of fairness." He grinned, and Elizabeth shuddered.
Tai Huang walked to a door and knocked a series of hurried code words.
A small crack in the door slid open to reveal a pair of eyes, which watched them.
After 1 minute, the crack closes and the door opens with the sound of the latch pulling and the creaking of the hinges.
Elizabeth and Barbossa had just stepped into a small vestibule when Tai Huang turned and blocked their way.
"Unarms," he said, "take them out, please."
Elizabeth could tell from his tone that the "please" did not make the sentence sound like a request, it was an order.
"Of course." Barbossa said lightly. He surrendered his pistol and sword.
Elizabeth followed suit, but when they were about to move forward, Tai Huang raised his hand and stared at Elizabeth.
"Do you think he's a woman so we won't suspect him of fraud?" he asked. "Drop your arms, please."
Sighing, Elizabeth pulled off his coat, revealing two hidden swords tucked in lined scabbards.
She wanted to move forward again, but was stopped by the Thai side. "Drop your weapons, please," he repeated.
Elizabeth still wanted to argue, but in vain. She was forced to hand over all the weapons hidden in her body one by one.
To make matters worse, she was also asked to change into a robe so she couldn't hide any weapons.
Glaring at the men around her, Elizabeth tightened the belt on her blue silk bathrobe and tugged it down and down, hoping to cover her legs more.
The scowling, unarmed Elizabeth eventually followed Barbossa and Ty Wong into the bathroom.
Elizabeth carefully surveyed her surroundings as they made their way down twisting, leaking, rusty pipes, past algae-covered tubs and rogue pirates.
These pirates are Sao Feng's subordinates, and each of them has his own mark: a dragon tattoo.
At last they came to a room that was cleaner and warmer than the others, and the Pirate King of Singapore had just stepped out of his tub.
Two handsome maids waited quietly on him to put on all the garb of pirate kingship.
Elizabeth stared at this weather-beaten scarred face, looking for signs of weakness, but the eyes of this powerful pirate king were deep and cold, and would not reveal any information. A pair of old scars extending from the corners of the eyes highlighted his Formidable prestige.
After a long time, Xiao Feng didn't seem to notice their existence, or he was deliberately ignoring them.
Finally, Barbossa realized that he should speak first.
"Captain Sao Feng," he said calmly, "thank you for allowing me to see you."
Xiao Feng raised his head, as if he just saw them.
"Captain Barbossa," he said, "welcome to Singapore." He gestured to the nearest guard, "more steam."
The guard tapped twice on the wall, and a large amount of steam burst out of the pipe.
"I know you want something from me, don't you?" he said to Barbossa.
"One more proposal," answered Barbossa. "I am on an adventure, and I need a ship and crew."
Sao Feng straightened his body and looked at Barbossa with a sly smile, "And you think I deserve this honor? A ship and some sailors..." He giggled , "What a strange coincidence."
"Because you happen to have a ship and men you don't use?"
Elizabeth said rashly, and Barbossa gave her a warning look, but Sao Feng just smiled more broadly, and the scar at the corner of his eye almost disappeared.
"No," he said, "because earlier today, not far from here, a thief broke into the shrine of my most revered uncle and tried to get away with these."
Sao Feng strode across the room and came to a wizened old man in robes, who was clutching a set of ancient nautical charts to his chest.
The Pirate King looked serious, and reached for the navigation road, but before the old man let go, he still had to yank several times to get the navigation chart from the old man's hand.
"Nautical chart." Sao Feng continued, he turned to Barbossa and Elizabeth, and waved the blueprint in the air.
"A route to the end of the sky," he said softly, watching the reactions on their faces, "wouldn't it be surprising if this adventure would take you to a place other than this world? "
Barbossa swallowed. "That sounds unbelievable," he bluffed.
Xiao Feng looked at Barbosa calmly, then he nodded to the two guards who were near the bathtub, and the guards leaned over to pull a person out of the water.
The prisoner was none other than Will Turner.
