He glanced at the Huaxia crew who swung back to his ship, and almost all of them had escaped successfully.
"Who's there?" A voice came from the darkness, and a figure shuffled towards them.
Norrington turned quickly, drew his sword, and the timing was broken.
He knows which side he has to be on and which side he will always be on.
"Go!" he yelled at her. "I'll catch you."
"You lied," said Elizabeth, who knew him too well to know he was lying.
Norrington looked her in the eye. "Our destinies are intertwined, Elizabeth," he said.
"But never together." Impulsively, he pulled Elizabeth into his arms and kissed her, but after just a moment, he pushed her towards the rope.
"Go! Now!" he cried.
Elizabeth reluctantly stepped over the side of the boat and grabbed the rope.
She was captain of the Empress now, and her crew needed her, and maybe James needed her too.
Elizabeth took one last look over her shoulder before she began staggering across the water, hoping that Norrington would catch up soon.
On board the Dutchman at this time, the slowly moving figure had come to the halo cast by the lantern. It was "Boottop" Bill.
The old pirate didn't quite know what he had found.
His mind was clouded, and here and there flitted vague thoughts and memories, and through the fog of perplexity he recognized someone he knew—Elizabeth, the love of his son.
She was crawling outward along a rope, and a small part of his mind tormented him.
He knew it was wrong, the crew of the Dutchman would always be with the Dutchman.
"No one can leave this ship," said Boot Gang.
"Stand back," said Norrington. "That's an order."
"Part of the crew," said the boot vaguely. "Part of the ship."
Norrington began to realize that this was no ordinary sailor, that this man was far above the rest.
He has largely become part of the ship and begins to lose himself, which makes him quite unpredictable.
"Don't get excited, man," Norrington said, trying to sound calm and composed.
But it was all too late.
"Crew!" bellowed the boot in a startlingly loud voice. "Crew! Prisoner escaped, crew!"
The crew quickly rushed to the deck from all directions.
Elizabeth was halfway up the rope when she heard the commotion and looked back.
She saw the Dutchman's sailors attacking Norrington.
"James!" she cried, for she could never let him be in such a miserable state.
She began to climb back to the Dutchman.
But what she did was seen by Norrington, and Norrington pulled out a pistol and fired a shot at the ship's cable.
The cable snapped, losing its anchoring rope and swinging toward the Empress, Elizabeth fell into the water with a plop.
Spitting water, she climbed up the rope, using her hands alternately, and climbed onto the deck of her boat.
The Empress was already heading fast into the darkness, leaving the Dutchman behind.
When the Queen is getting farther and farther away from the danger, the Black Pearl is getting closer and closer to the danger.
In the middle of the vast and empty sea, there is an island with a strange shape: Shipwreck Island.
The island is hollow, with a circular inlet in the center of the island.
This is where the Brotherhood will meet.
The Black Pearl was rapidly approaching the island, and Barbossa stood behind Caton at the rudder, watching the sea closely.
"Attention, stay vigilant!" He warned Carton, "It's called Shipwreck Island for no reason, there are Shipwreck Bay and Shipwreck City on the island!"
Jack tilted his hat back and studied them both carefully.
"You know," he said, "we're a pretty unimaginative bunch when it comes to naming things, for all the smart pirates who are good at the most cunning, duplicitous thinking."
"That's right," Gibbs agreed.
"Leave for a while, Mr. Caton." Jack said, and walked over to take over the rudder himself.
"There is a dangerous countercurrent ahead, just to prove the skill of navigation."
As dusk gradually approached, the Black Pearl sailed straight to the towering cliff face.
The pirates gathered by the side of the ship, all of them looked worried, and Jack was undoubtedly leading them towards the rocks.

The pirates gathered by the side of the ship, all of them looked worried, and Jack was undoubtedly leading them towards the rocks.
It was only at the last moment that they circumvented a large rock formation, and the crew breathed a sigh of relief when they discovered a hidden tunnel between the rocks in front of them.
The boat turned slowly left and right through the tunnel, toward the distant light.
At last they came out of the rocky passage into a wide bay surrounded by high cliffs.
In the middle of the bay is Shipwrecked City, a wreck, debris, and rubble made entirely of broken and abandoned ships loosely linked together.
