Chapter 1121 No shame

Chapter 1121 No shame

Magic projection does have a lifelike effect, but post-production is a rather complicated task.

There are no more than 20 wizards in the entire British wizarding world who can answer this question. They are either scholars who have conducted in-depth research on magical projection or directors who have shot large-scale TV series.

Seeing that Peter Pettigrew and Barty Little were hesitating and unable to answer, even a fool would know that there was a big problem here.

"Witness, please answer the questions." Bones' tone was clearly impatient.

Of course Fudge, whose face was extremely gloomy, could hear it.

Although the hearing is not a court, if the witness avoids such a crucial issue, he will not be able to prove that the video footage is forged. If he cannot prove that it is forged, he will not be able to prove that Voldemort's return is a rumor. In this way, he will make a wrong judgment, and the eleventh decree temporarily promulgated will need to be voted on again within the Wizengamot.

Not only that, this hearing against Dumbledore and Vincent will become a joke, the public speech during the day will become an even bigger joke, and he, Cornelius Fudge, will become a complete clown.

A small loophole could lead to a serious chain reaction. Fudge's resentful eyes focused on Vincent's face again.

Still so at ease, as if he had all the trump cards in his hands.

Fudge took a deep breath and raised his voice: "Since the witness is unwilling to answer, then we will skip this step."

Bones gave him a slightly dissatisfied look.

If this process is skipped, the hearing will return to square one.

After all the trouble, not only Fudge will become a clown, but all the members of the Wizengamot will become clowns as well.

Vincent and Dumbledore had no objection, and Dawlish came to take Peter Pettigrew and Barty Jr. away, but the Aurors stayed.

Fudge took a sip of tea to moisten his throat, and announced in a particularly unreasonable manner: "The theme of this hearing is not to discuss whether the eleventh law is reasonable. As the host of the hearing, I have the obligation to remind everyone."

Want to get away with it? You have lost all your dignity.

Doggie, Marchbank and Ogden all seemed to want to say something, but were silenced by Fudge.

"If anyone raises questions that are not related to the subject of this hearing, I will expel him immediately."

He is the referee, the referee and the witness. He also sets the rules. He can play the game however he wants.

But is it really okay to be so blatant?

Fudge dared to include reporters and anchors because he anticipated that they would secretly broadcast it live. In order to completely cover up the fact that Voldemort had returned, he really did everything he could.

Vincent shrugged at Dumbledore, then cast a contemptuous look at Fudge who was standing in front of him, indicating that he had never seen such a shameless person.

Dumbledore's face suddenly became stern, and it was unclear whether he was trying to hold back a laugh.

The interaction between the two once again stimulated Fudge to the extreme.

His cold eyes moved from Vincent to Dumbledore's face. "I withdraw my serious accusation that the two parties to the hearing attempted to divide the British wizarding community. However, it is an irrefutable fact that they spread rumors and caused panic among the people."

He pulled out another stack of parchment from the documents in front of him. "This is a list of all the conflicts in the British wizarding world caused by the news of Voldemort's return since June 6th."

He passed the parchment to a member of the Wizengamot beside him. "Nine of them were vicious conflicts, and the most serious one even involved the use of poisonous curses."

The increasing number of conflicts in the British wizarding world is obvious to all. It is indeed a good idea to abandon the accusation of dividing the wizarding world and focus on the source of the conflicts.

"Given that the actions of the two parties involved in the hearing have substantially caused multiple—"

"I don't think it's a fault." Dumbledore interrupted him. "The source of the conflict is ultimately caused by Voldemort's return. Our focus should be on whether he really returns, rather than the impact he brings."

"We are - not - that -" Fudge shouted angrily, "We are not here to discuss this unconfirmed issue today. Our focus should be on the rumor! Dumbledore, because of a casual remark you made, the Ministry of Magic has been so busy in the past half month!"

"What's wrong with admitting the facts?" Dumbledore said calmly. "Little Hangleton still has traces of my battle with Voldemort. Is the Ministry of Magic going to deny even this? I think the Ministry of Magic should make public the clues it has found so that everyone can make their own judgments."

"Dumbledore!" said Fudge gruffly. "It is not your place to decide what the Ministry of Magic does or does not do!"

"Of course it is." Dumbledore was still as humble and polite as ever, but there was a sternness in his words. "The wizarding world is facing a crisis. We should not hastily affirm something, nor should we deny the fact of its existence out of fear."

"Enough!" Fudge slammed his fist on the table, knocking over a bottle of ink. "The crisis facing the wizarding world is exactly what you created! Dumbledore, you keep claiming that Voldemort is back. What good does this do you?"

"There is no benefit. I think everyone should be vigilant and not repeat the mistakes of the wizard war 25 years ago."

"No." Fudge wiped off the spilled ink in a hurry. "I know you want to prove your greatness through Voldemort, but I haven't even started talking about the mess you made at Hogwarts."

Dumbledore kept talking about Voldemort, forcing Fudge to change the subject.

Vincent straightened up, staring at Fudge, who avoided his gaze out of guilt, with great joy, "How is Hogwarts in such a mess? Everyone still remembers how the Ministry of Magic captured Sirius Black last year. Not only did they arrange Dementors to guard the school, they also sent a large number of staff to the school."

Fudge finally looked over fiercely, "That's because of the Bat Family. Now it seems that this matter is inseparable from you."

Vincent's eyes were full of mockery. "Hearing host, this is a very serious accusation. Do you have any evidence?"

The word "evidence" made Fudge blush again.

“No?” Vincent shook his head in disappointment. “If there is no evidence, we should get back to the point.”

"Of course!" Fudge gasped, "There is a very famous comic in the Muggle world. The Bat Family originated from this comic, and the protagonist of this comic happens to be named Wayne."

"Pfft——" Fred and George in the audience couldn't help laughing.

Fudge was really ridiculous in trying not to end the topic of Voldemort.

According to normal human logic, even if Vincent wanted to do something bad, he would not dress up as Batman. He should dress up as another character to avoid suspicion.

"This is definitely not a coincidence." Fudge glared at Vincent, looking angry and embarrassed. "That Muggle comic is the best evidence!"
