Chapter 223: Auction and Hunt
Chapter 223: Auction and Hunt
Inside a luxurious room—walls filled with portraits and tapestries, a large, lavish chandelier dangled from the ceiling, and the expensive furniture lay in the room, arranged by someone who knew what he was doing—a blonde woman with a slim waist was standing in front of a mirror. She was beautiful with a seductive body.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" said a figure inside the mirror.
"Sister Aleera, have you heard about Heaven’s Door?" asked the blonde woman inside the room.
"What’s that?" asked Aleera. "Never heard of it."
"Oh. It’s a shop. They sell potions and artifacts and also own a restaurant. Their food is divine, Sister Aleera, I tell you. Never had food so delicious ever in my life. Their potions and artifacts are top-notch, even better than Grand Spire and Elven Potions."
"Really?" said Aleera doubtfully. "Are you sure someone did not fool you, Arba?
"No," Arba rolled her eyes. "I tested everything myself. Furthermore, other than their quality, the price of their products is way lower than the Grand Spire or Elven Potions."
"Oh." She fell into contemplation and then lifted her gaze. "What do you have in mind?"
"They are about to have an auction," she said. "I heard they would auction several rank 5 elemental essences."
"Oh." Only then some interest appeared inside her gorgeous eyes. "Continue."
"Other than the elemental essences, they are going to auction rank 5 potions. I heard there will be more than one, but I don’t know specific details about them." Arba hesitated briefly and then said, "Rank 5 potions are rare as there aren’t many high-ranking potioneers, and our relationship with elves is not good either, so getting high ranking potions from them is out of the question—"
"So you are saying we should participate in the auction?"
"Yes."
Aleera looked thoughtful and then said, "Alright. I will arrive in Dewhurst tomorrow."

As soon as Kadyn appeared in the shop, he fell unconscious, awakening only the next day.
And as soon as he awakened he went to the Potion Hall and started to brew the potions. His wounds had already healed mostly when he used the rank 5 healing potion, he was unconscious all this time due exhaustion.
Elora and Zelie assisted him. He refined potions for two days continuously. Elora and Zelie were already rank four potioneers and after Kadyn’s guidance they became even more proficient, reaching to the peak of rank four potioneers. Only their magical ranking was holding them back from becoming rank 5.
After that Kadyn left the Potion Hall and everyone became busy preparing for the auction.
Five days later Kadyn changed the structure of the shop. The auction hall was at the very top floor, so he used some of his energy points to install a lift inside the building. As everyone could not use the lift so he inserted stairs as well that led the visitors directly on the floor of auction.
They also sent special invitations to some influential people like District Magistrate and organisations like Elven Potion and Grand Spire and Night Bliss Brothel. Kadyn made Rayna in-charge of taking care of the special guest’s refreshments and made Cecelia in-charge of the auction before vanishing himself.

The last time when Kadyn fought with the wolf, he realised he wasn’t as strong as he had thought himself to be. He couldn’t even defeat a wild beast of the same rank as him without getting severely injured. He had no idea how he would face those abominations if he failed to improve his strength. He needed to do something, to become strong, or only miserable death would await him on the end of the lane.
He had no intention to die, so he could only suffer now to secure his majestic future.
Kadyn walked on the mushy grass of the Goofy Spruce Woods, his face vigilant, his feet sloshing whenever he took a step. Now and then he had to pass through the muddy path and dirty his boots and pants, but he could do nothing. It seemed not long after he left the forest after killing the wolf; it rained.
He used space and wind element to avoid the muddy ground, but when he found no dry place, he could only walk through the slushy ground. He looked at the trees but the branches of the trees were thinner than his arms and denser than his hair. Drops of water dripping from them now and then. He had no intention to dip in the mud from up there, so he continued his journey on his feet.
Many low ranking beasts tried to ambush him, but he handled them with no problem. As long as they were rank four beasts, he would throw their bodies inside his space rings. This time all of his fingers were wearing the rings. Some of them even had two. He didn’t want to leave any high-ranking monster’s body behind.
"Hiss!" Kadyn became alert when he heard the hissing of a snake and teleported a few meters away. As soon as he vanished a gigantic snake fell from the sky with his mouth open, crashing on the ground. The long sharp tongue that divided in two like pliers flickered and its sharp fangs dug into the ground.
"Fuck!" cursed Kadyn when he realised how close he had been to death. A little mistake and he would have ended up inside the creature’s tummy, rolling and twisting inside before turning into poop.
The beast dug out its head out of the muddy ground, splashing the water and mud all about. However, Kadyn soon realised that it was having a hard time opening its eyes. The mud had gone inside them. Kadyn wasted no time before flashing and arriving over the snake. At this moment, the snake twisted its body and stared at Kadyn in the eyes without blinking. It was a trap.
"Do you think I would fall in such a stupid ploy?" Kadyn sneered and his eyes began to shine. "Stop!" he shouted, and the beast stopped. Sometimes Psychic element could do things that no other element could do. Although he could not control the beast completely and it would soon come to its senses, it was enough to do what he wanted. "Boom!" His punch landed on the skull of the snake and the creature crashed on the ground.
