Chapter 335: Who the hell did this?
Chapter 335: Who the hell did this?
Seeing the joy on Rory’s face, Yuel’s lips curved into a deeply satisfied smile.
"It seems my Rory really likes it. In that case, all those sleepless nights... and those thousands of design drafts I drew... were worth it."
At those words, Xarion’s mouth twitched. How was this man so good at this?
Giving her an entire castle apparently wasn’t enough—he even casually slipped in the fact that he had personally designed every inch of it himself, pouring his heart and soul into the project.
Making Female Master both touched... and heartbroken for him at the same time.
And sure enough, Rory immediately turned to look at Yuel, emotion overflowing in her eyes.
"You... you designed all of this yourself?"
Disbelief filled her voice. The scale and beauty of the place were overwhelming. She had assumed he’d hired professional designers. Especially with how busy he always was.
"Yes." Yuel nodded lightly, as though it were something insignificant.
But the tenderness in his gaze was impossibly deep.
"I was worried someone else’s design might not suit your tastes perfectly. Only by doing it myself could I make sure every detail became exactly what you would love most."
He lifted a hand and gently brushed away the moisture gathering at the corner of her eye, his fingertips warm.
"Look at the lighting here. I adjusted the starlight spectrum myself so it would be softer and never hurt your eyes."
"And the fragrance in the air—those Star-Slumber Flowers were cultivated from the genetic sequences of your favorite flowers."
"Even—"
Before he could finish, Rory suddenly threw herself into his arms.
The movement caught him completely off guard.
She buried herself against his chest, pressing her face tightly into the warmth of him, her voice trembling with tears.
"Yuel... how can you be this good to me?"
Rory genuinely didn’t know what else to say. No one had ever cared for her so meticulously before. At this moment, even "thank you" felt painfully inadequate.
Hearing the faint sob in her voice, Yuel’s body stiffened slightly.
Then he slowly wrapped his arms around her, one hand gently stroking her back in comfort.
"As long as my Rory likes it... Then everything I do is worth it."
Standing nearby, Xarion silently clenched his fists.
He had carried Vincent all the way upstairs, only to become background scenery.
He’d thought Yuel was merely clever and calculating.
Who would have guessed this man also wielded talent and devastating sincerity like weapons?
It was outright unfair.
In terms of emotional strategy, ten of him still couldn’t compare to one Yuel.
At that moment, Jasper, Vangar, and the others quietly arrived via another elevator.
The moment the doors opened, they were stunned speechless by the dreamlike scenery before them.
And then, they saw Rory and Yuel embracing tightly... with Xarion standing beside them wearing a face darker than a storm cloud.
Everyone was stunned.
Wonderful. They never should’ve come upstairs.
Yuel held Rory in his arms as though he hadn’t noticed them at all.
His chin rested lightly atop her head, while hidden deep within his eyes was a possessiveness and satisfaction no one else could see.
"Female Master..."
Xarion’s half-dead voice suddenly cut through the atmosphere.
"Is it really okay to just leave Vincent lying there like that?"
Rory’s body stiffened instantly.
She’d been so overwhelmed and emotional that she had nearly forgotten Vincent... and Xarion.
Yuel glanced lazily at Xarion before looking toward Vincent lying unconscious on the bed.
"He should be fine sleeping like this."
Then he lowered his gaze to Rory again, his expression immediately softening.
"Rory, it’s getting late. You’ve been through too much today. You must be exhausted. You should rest early. We’ll go arrange our own rooms."
More importantly, Rory had given Vincent so much blood today.
Even with the Beast God Fruit replenishing her body, she had to be exhausted.
"Mhm." Rory nodded.
She truly was tired.
Looking at Yuel and the others, she said softly, "Then you all should rest early too."
The men nodded.
Each of them looked at her with reluctant longing before finally turning and leaving the room.
None of them wanted to go.
But Rory needed rest, and none of them wanted to disturb her.
After leaving the top floor, the teams they had summoned to furnish the rooms had already arrived.
Using spatial stones, they rapidly assembled and decorated the various suites throughout the castle.
Yuel’s room was directly beneath Rory’s.
He had already completed his own room while designing hers.
Just as he stepped off the elevator and was about to return to his room, Vangar suddenly stopped him.
The towering man pulled out a small piece of vine and held it in front of Yuel.
"What is the Marshal trying to do?"
Yuel glanced calmly at the vine segment resting in Vangar’s palm.
If he wasn’t mistaken, it was a piece of the Moonshade Divine Vine.
Vangar didn’t bother beating around the bush.
"Teach me how to make my female happy... And this piece of the Moonshade Divine Vine is yours."
He knew Terry needed it right now.
Yuel looked at the vine in his hand and smiled faintly.
"Marshal... even if I refused to help you, would you really withhold this vine from Terry when you’re his father?"
Vangar: "..."
This man really was as infuriating as ever.
He dared to take advantage of absolutely anyone.
Seeing Vangar on the verge of losing his temper again, Yuel finally reached out and took the vine from his hand.
"Alright, I’ll stop teasing you. I’ll send the method to your communicator later."
With that, Yuel casually twirled the vine between his fingers before turning and returning to his room.
Terry had only awakened yesterday and was especially sleepy right now.
Aside from the brief time he’d been awake earlier, he had spent almost the entire day sleeping.
After returning to his room, Yuel didn’t wake him immediately.
Instead, he carefully stored away the vine Vangar had given him, took a proper set of sleepwear, and headed into the bathroom.
***
Upstairs, after Yuel and the others left, Rory first stripped away Vincent’s tattered clothing.
Then she instructed a high-grade intelligent robot to clean him up before heading into the bathroom herself for a long, comfortable bath.
When she came out, she changed into soft sleepwear and climbed into bed.
The bed was enormous—absurdly large and soft.
Vincent lay on the opposite side, so far away she practically had to roll across half the mattress just to reach him.
Rory rolled over beside him, pulled the blanket up over both of them, then leaned down and kissed him lightly on the cheek.
"When you wake up tomorrow," she murmured softly, "I’m going to properly settle accounts with you."
After everything that had happened today, she truly was exhausted.
She closed her eyes.
The fragrance of the Star-Slumber Flowers drifted through the air around her, lulling her quickly into sleep.
She didn’t know how much time had passed when she vaguely felt a pair of cool arms slipping carefully beneath her knees and behind her back, lifting her gently from the soft bed.
Rory tried to open her eyes to see who it was, but her eyelids felt impossibly heavy, as though weighed down by thousands of pounds.
Her body was limp and powerless, trapped by invisible restraints that left her unable to move.
A moment later, an overwhelming tide of drowsiness swallowed her whole once more.
And she lost consciousness completely.
...
When Rory finally opened her eyes again, sunlight was streaming through enormous floor-to-ceiling windows.
Outside was an endless stretch of quiet greenery.
Rory instantly snapped awake.
This wasn’t the room she had fallen asleep in last night.
Where was she?
Had someone carried her into their room while she was asleep?
Xarion?
Jasper?
Rory pushed herself upright, silk sleepwear sliding smoothly down one shoulder.
Instinctively, she moved her wrist, preparing to climb out of bed, only to hear a crisp metallic clink.
The sound of chains colliding echoed sharply through the unnaturally silent room.
Rory froze. Then she looked down.
Her pupils contracted instantly.
A delicate golden chain had been locked around her slender left wrist.
The other end was firmly secured to the cold metal pillar at the head of the bed.
Rory: "..."
She... She had been chained up?
Who did this?
Definitely not Yuel. He didn’t have this kind of kink.
Jasper wouldn’t do something like this either.
Vangar?
No... they weren’t even bonded yet. He probably wouldn’t dare.
Then... Xarion?
No, that didn’t make sense either. Xarion wasn’t into tying people up.
Rory pulled back the blanket and discovered matching golden restraints fastened around both ankles as well.
The chains allowed enough slack for her to move freely around the bed.
She could even walk a short distance to the nearby window.
But there was absolutely no way she could leave the room.
Who the hell did this?
