Chen Guan thought, "A library administrator, how much could she owe? I carry a lot of Liquid Elemental Energy, it should be enough to settle the debt."

"Do you want the money or not? If you do, name a figure." Chen Guan found her evasive and suspected she had no intention of letting the librarian repay the money.

"What do you say, are you helping her or not?" The female Secret Spirit curled her lips at Chen Guan.

The female Secret Spirit lifted a finger, waved it in front of Chen Guan, and said, "Just this amount."

"How much is this, ten thousand? Or a million?" Chen Guan asked.

"None of those." The female Secretary smiled mockingly at Chen Guan and shook her head.

"You won’t tell me it’s a hundred million, right?" Chen Guan’s expression shifted slightly.

He could manage a hundred million; given the value, with sufficient Liquid Elemental Energy, it wouldn’t be an issue.

But Chen Guan doubted a library administrator could owe such a vast sum, suspecting it had accrued over time.

Then Chen Guan turned to Lady Snake and asked, "How much did you borrow from her?"

"Sir, you should return to your reading. I’ll handle this on my own." Lady Snake smiled wryly and shook her head.

The female Secret Spirit glanced at Lady Snake, then at Chen Guan, and squinted, "Since you’re helping her, I’ll tell you straight. She owes me a life. You pay in her place."

On hearing this, Chen Guan frowned and looked at the female librarian again, "What do you mean?"

"This matter has nothing to do with you, don’t get involved," Lady Snake said, then turned to the female Secret Spirit, "Long Yue, this is between you and me. Don’t involve outsiders."

"How is he not involved? His protective stance towards you shows how close you two must be. He’s in your library; how can he be an outsider?" Long Yue laughed, pointing at Chen Guan, "Since he’s paying, let it be settled."

As she spoke, Long Yue snapped her fingers.

Suddenly, the surrounding space twisted, and the scenery in front of them transformed.

Chen Guan was inwardly startled by the female Secret Spirit’s unexpectedly powerful abilities.

She had directly manipulated space, transporting them somewhere else, a feat even the proficient space manipulator King of Palace seemed far less capable of.

"Sky City?" Chen Guan observed the peculiar ancient city at the void’s end, as if it were right before him, seeing the characters "Sky City" inscribed on its plaque.

While still observing this eerie Sky City, Chen Guan sensed spatial ripples nearby, and a figure crossed through space, swaying out, revealing herself to be the female librarian of the Serpent Race.
