Chapter 634 - 595: This Time Bomb is Equipped with a Big Data System

When Zhao Rong put away the impact-absorbing foam, his Mercedes SUV was suddenly nose-to-nose with the semi-trailer truck that had been behind them. The truck driver now had a clear view of Zhao Rong, his assistant, and the three beautiful women in the other vehicle.

Before the driver could react, Zhao Rong shot out of the car, launched a flying kick that knocked the man to the ground, and pointed a finger in his face. "Do you even know how to drive? You almost killed all five of us!"

The assistant rushed forward as well, kicking the downed driver twice in the face. "Damn it, this is practically murder, you understand?"

Lili slapped the driver twice across the face. "You must be working for Killer King Wang Jingang! You were planning to ambush us on the road, so you used this semi to try and ram us!"

Yu Lan loomed over him, her voice a low warning. "Spill it, driver. What kind of Blinding Trick did you use to make us think we hit something?"

Xuelian menacingly held up a can of gasoline in her left hand and a lighter in her right. "If you don’t come clean," she said, deliberately trying to scare him, "I’ll let you experience just how ruthless a beautiful woman can be."

The moment the semi-trailer driver saw the gasoline and lighter in Xuelian’s hands, his courage evaporated. He immediately caved, pleading, "Please, don’t hurt me! I’ll tell you everything!"

It turned out that as soon as Wang Jingang received intelligence that the Chairman had sent his top bodyguard, Zhao Rong, to eliminate him, he had ordered his henchman—the semi-trailer driver—to intercept Zhao Rong’s Mercedes SUV and run it off the road. The two children Zhao Rong had seen by the wall were part of the setup. They had dug a hidden hole near the wall, and as Zhao Rong’s vehicle approached, the children intentionally stuck their heads out. This was meant to completely capture Zhao Rong’s attention. Once his focus was diverted, they dragged a large, fat pig from the hidden hole and hurled it onto the road directly in his path.

That was the object Zhao Rong’s vehicle had collided with. It was nothing more than a big, fat pig. The blood and bits of flesh spattered across the windshield were all from that pig.

Hearing the driver’s confession, understanding dawned on Zhao Rong. He said with a lingering fear, "I never expected Killer King Wang Jingang to make his move so soon. It seems we still need to be fully prepared."

With that, Zhao Rong grabbed the driver and called the police, handing him over to be taken to the station.

After dealing with the driver, Zhao Rong drove the SUV off the expressway to a 4S shop for repairs. Once the vehicle was fixed, he got back on the road.

However, just as he merged back onto the expressway, he made a sudden U-turn. He took the next exit and sped back toward the very same 4S shop they had just left.

When the assistant and the three women saw him get off the highway and turn back, they asked in utter bewilderment, "Zhao Rong, aren’t we going to Shitou Village? Why are you getting off the expressway again?"

Zhao Rong’s voice was tense as he answered, "Our SUV has been rigged with a bomb. I have to drive it right back where we came from. As the saying goes, it takes the one who tied the bell to untie it."

The moment the others heard their vehicle was carrying a bomb, they were horrified. "Zhao Rong, what are we going to do? If the bomb goes off, we’ll be blown to smithereens!"

The assistant, desperate to get out, said, "Zhao Rong, pull over to the side of the road now! We’ll get out and push this thing into the river. Otherwise, if we keep driving, the bomb will definitely kill us!"

Instead of stopping, Zhao Rong slammed his foot on the accelerator. "You don’t understand, Assistant," he said as the SUV surged forward. "This isn’t an ordinary bomb. It’s equipped with a big data system. If it senses that we’ve stopped, it will detonate immediately."

Hearing that stopping would trigger the explosion, the three women grew desperate. "Zhao Rong, does that mean we have to keep driving until we run out of gas? But then the car will stop on its own, and the bomb will still go off! Does that mean there’s no way for us to survive?"

Zhao Rong reassured them, "Ladies, don’t be afraid. The bad guys planted the bomb while the car was being repaired at that 4S shop. As long as I can get the car back to the shop, I guarantee it won’t explode."

Hearing this, the confused assistant asked, "Zhao Rong, why are you so sure the car won’t explode if we drive it back there?"

Lili praised his cleverness. "Zhao Rong, when you said, ’It takes the one who tied the bell to untie it,’ I finally understand what you meant! Once we get back to that 4S shop, they wouldn’t dare let the car explode and take themselves out with us."

Yu Lan smiled. "Zhao Rong, only a mind like yours could come up with such an incredibly clever solution."

However, just as the group was relaxing and continuing cheerfully on their way, a person suddenly appeared in the road not far ahead. He was dressed in rags, his face was covered in blood, and he was waving his arms to flag them down.

When Zhao Rong saw the blood-covered man who clearly needed help, he immediately stopped the car.
