Chapter 1070: Clean Up?
Chapter 1070: Clean Up?
Chapter 1070
The massive ball of lightning and shadow tore ridges across the ground as it flew with devastating speed and sound, forcing the Dawn forces to collectively look back to see the attack racing their way.
"Move!"
With quick thinking and instincts, they all leaped away from the path of the destructive sphere that was ripping out chunks of earth as it flew forth.
The Otherworlders weren’t as quick to react, as they hadn’t noticed the attack at the moment the Dawn forces did.
They only saw their opponents pause.
They were about to capitalize on this opening to strike when the Dawn forces suddenly leaped, and only then did they see the blistering assault heading their way.
With a roaring crash, ’Hollow Black’ ploughed into the ranks of the fifty thousand men and beasts alike.
No explosion. No detonation.
It simply ripped through them all like they were mere parchment.
Their forms were torn apart so easily that they didn’t even provide a strong enough barrier to delay the sphere for even a second.
The residue of the attack smashed into the ground behind them, turning the whole earth into a massive hollow.
One attack.
Just one attack from Kael finished half of the remaining enemy forces.
Now, they were all left with just fifty thousand men.
The Dawn forces still stood about fifty thousand strong.
The scales had finally evened out for them.
Taking advantage of the initial shock, the Dawn forces lunged into a whirlwind of strikes, further reducing the enemy numbers at an impressive rate.
Before the opponents could realize what was going on or regain their composure, another thousand had fallen.
Kael staggered to his knees, blood pouring from his mouth, which he simply let flow.
He couldn’t join in on the fight now; his mana was totally gone.
But what he had done had given his allies the exact boost they needed.
Rising from the earth beneath Dante, a colossal earthen golem stood up.
Amir also sent a massive metal golem charging forward.
He wasn’t done yet; a humongous metal sword burst out from behind him, crashing into the ranks of the enemies and taking down two thousand of them at once.
The two golems began a stampede, crushing and kicking the opposing forces like they were mere dolls or rags.
Their heavy feet turned the frontlines to ruin, heads rolling with a single strike.
Rivock clicked his tongue and, almost immediately, a huge explosion rippled through the enemy, taking down five hundred of them at once.
While he had been weaving amidst the opponents, he had been setting ki pellets down, and now, he was able to activate his clan technique.
However, that took a massive chunk of his remaining ki.
"Gravity magic: Graviole!" Viktor thundered, and instantly, three hundred men were pressed down to the ground with a heavy, mountainous pressure.
Within a second, the pressure overwhelmed them entirely.
"Sea Dragon Roar!" Charlotte bellowed, and a humongous water dragon burst forth, shredding through five hundred men instantly.
Lightning pillars crashed down from the sky as Max walked into the midst of the ranks.
Even Thalos and Kira, along with Noir, were causing heavy damage.
Thalos’s greatsword flew forward with amazing grace, sending opponents down before they could even react.
Noir’s fireballs turned their targets to ash, his laser beams ripping through defenses and heavy armor alike without any resistance.
Kira unrelentingly sent beams of lightning ripping through the Otherworlders, with hundreds of arrows also taking down more men.
With just a strike, she made sure she took down five hundred men.
So in a few seconds of her blitzing around, she was taking down more men than anybody combined.
All these and more contributed to the morale of the Dawn forces as their determination skyrocketed to the roof.
Even though they got injured, they were determined to take the Otherworlders down.
Losing their Zodiacs, their leader nowhere to be seen, and with the last Zodiac unmoving, the Otherworlders were all beginning to lose morale.
After all, they were humans too.
They would feel fear, and with that, they were already losing the will to fight anymore.
Biggest mistake!
The moment the Dawn forces caught sight of that unwillingness, they intensified their attacks, and now, more men were falling with barely any men from the Dawn force losing their lives.
This continued on for several minutes as the Otherworlders had now gone from fifty thousand to a mere two thousand.
The elite forces paused, refusing to continue and instead allowing the forty thousand remaining Dawn forces to attack.
The Otherworlders were surrounded from all corners.
They tried their best to resist, to attack.
Unfortunately, it was all in vain as they were simply outnumbered with forces flying in different directions.
The Dawn forces became unyielding, consumed by grief and anger.
— You all dare attack our world?!
— You think you will go free?!
— Bastards, DIE!
The elite forces stared at this with stoic looks on their faces as the Dawn forces ripped through the remaining Otherworlders, and within ten minutes, the town had now quieted immediately.
Except for the heavy pants from both the elite and normal forces.
Smiles spread across their faces as they looked around.
The aftermath was staggering, but one thing remained: they had prevailed.
Though they were smiling, the elite forces weren’t.
That was because a dangerous threat still remained.
Turning to look at the throne, their eyes stretched wide instantly.
Zodiac One was gone!
"That was an impressive display over there."
They heard the voice, and all heads turned in that direction to see the Zodiac standing over Kael, who was panting heavily with blood drooling down his mouth.
"Hm... I like you, but you have to go." The Zodiac’s hand shot forward with blinding speed.
BANG! TCHAAAAAK!
The hand tore through armor as energy erupted into the air.
"NOOOOO!"
